I'm running Ubuntu 24.04 on my Lenovo ThinkPad E14. Yesterday, I had issues logging in after trying to uninstall the Unity desktop environment. I managed to do that, but then my brightness control wasn't working, so I went into the BIOS to make some adjustments. I ended up restoring the factory settings. Now when I turn on my laptop, it shows the Lenovo logo and takes me to a boot menu, but none of the options work. I checked the BIOS again and noticed that Ubuntu has been removed from the boot order. What should I do to fix this?

It sounds like you need to disable Secure Boot in your BIOS settings. This can help with booting into Ubuntu, especially after making those changes. Let me know how it goes!
Okay, I disabled Secure Boot, and now I'm on the login screen! But it says 'failed to start session' when I try to log in. Any ideas?
