I recently used CCleaner to clean up some space on my device, and my friend suggested I update all my outdated drivers using the premium version. I was having issues with my keyboard, but it was still working well enough to log in. After running the driver update, I heard the usual connect/disconnect sound, and upon restarting my computer, I discovered that neither my mouse nor keyboard was functioning. Now, I can't log into my Windows account to do a driver rollback, nor can I boot into safe mode. I've tried using both the front and back USB ports for my mouse and keyboard, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

Do you have an old keyboard or mouse lying around? Sometimes just re-plugging a wired one might do the trick. Just to test if the hardware itself is okay.
Sounds like you've pinpointed the issue to be the drivers since you can use your mouse and keyboard in the BIOS. It might be time to create a bootable USB with Windows on it and perform a reinstall. Good luck!
If you're lucky, you might be able to do a system restore from a USB or try forcing advanced startup by powering off your computer three times during startup. Also, it's a good reminder to avoid third-party software for driver updates. They can sometimes create more problems than they solve!
