I just built a new PC but I can't log into Windows since I need to change my PIN, which requires an internet connection. I've already tried using the Shift + F10 trick, but nothing happens when I do it. Can anyone suggest a solution to get me past this login issue?

For some laptops, the F10 key might be on a secondary layout. So you may need to press Shift + Fn + F10. If that doesn't work, try using an external keyboard, as that can often bypass these kinds of problems.
I'm wondering how you're trying to log in after just building it. Did you install Windows yet?
One option is to install Windows 10 first and then upgrade to Windows 11 if you're aiming for that version. It might solve your login issues with internet requirements.
Make sure you're pulling up the command prompt properly. Just hitting Shift + F10 won’t do it alone. You need to type 'OOBEBYPASSNRO' after accessing the command prompt.
I can't even get the menu to pop up when I try the shortcut, which is the real issue for me.
Just to note, the OOBE bypass thing only works during installation, so it might not help if Windows is already installed.
You should check your BIOS settings or try troubleshooting the keyboard. Sometimes it might not be responding. Also, try changing the USB port for the keyboard or consider reinstalling Windows, especially if the current version isn't compatible with your new setup.
Yes, Windows was installed on my SSD from my previous PC.
