Choosing Between ASUS 5070 Ti and 9070 XT Graphics Cards

I've just ordered some parts for what started as an upgrade but turned into a whole new build. Now, I'm stuck deciding between the ASUS PRIME GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB and the 9070 XT for my graphics card. The benchmarks suggest the 5070 Ti isn't performing as well as the 9070 XT, which has me concerned. Since I'm already over budget, I'm hoping to find some holiday discounts and really don't want to spend a fortune on the graphics card. Just to clarify, I'm looking at the ASUS PRIME RTX 5070 Ti which comes with 16GB and uses PCI Express 5.0 with DLSS 4.0 support. Here are my specs so far: 7800X3D, Corsair 850e, B850 tomahawk motherboard, and DDR5 RAM.

It really depends on the pricing. If the 5070 Ti is the same price as the 9070 XT, I'd say go for that one. But if you’re just looking at performance and price, the 9070 XT is the better choice. You won't go wrong with either, honestly!

Price is everything! If they're both close, the 5070 Ti has some advantages in terms of software support and game compatibility. But if you're focused purely on value, the 9070 XT at $650 makes a strong case since the 5070 Ti is $750 before tax.

From what I've seen, both cards are pretty much on par in benchmarks, but I lean towards the 9070 XT because it usually costs less. The 5070 Ti is better with ray tracing and DLSS, but I could do without those features and still have a good gaming experience. Just my two cents!

I’m starting to lean towards the 9070 XT too. I’ve heard updates for the drivers might boost performance even more.

I have the ASUS Prime 5070 Ti, and I’ve been really happy with it. It runs quietly and is great for overclocking. I think the DLSS support gives Nvidia an edge at this price point since more games use it. I got mine for a similar price to the 9070 XT, so it was a no-brainer for me.

Given the current pricing, would you still recommend the 5070 Ti over the 9070 XT with those prices? I think Nvidia's features are appealing, especially since I’m currently using the 3070.
