I'm trying to decide between the GigaByte B850 Eagle Ice and the B650 Eagle AX for my Ryzen 7 7800X3D build. Can anyone explain how these motherboards differ, particularly in terms of temperatures and VRM performance? Is it really worth the extra 20 euros for the B850, or are they pretty much the same?

The B850 has PCIe 5.0 lanes, while the B650 is stuck with PCIe 4.0. That’s a big difference if you're into high-speed data transfer or future-proofing your build.

Yeah, I've got my eye on the Eagle Ice too! I think it looks really slick for a full white setup.
