Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from a GTX 2080 Super. I have an MSI 31.5" MPG 321URX monitor and an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU. My friend built my PC, and I just acquired the monitor. I can afford the 5080, but I'm curious about what you all think and your experiences with both the 5070 and 5080. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you're gaming on a 4K monitor, definitely go with the 5080. It's going to give you the best performance.
I say go for the 5080! You'll kick yourself later if you choose anything else. Just make sure you get a 16-pin cable to avoid using adapters; that can save some headaches down the line.

Thanks for the suggestion! I heard some people saying the 5070 Ti could be a better deal, so that had me second-guessing. I've looked into the 5080, and it seems to offer about a 15% performance boost. I'm also planning on grabbing an MSI MAG A1000GLS power supply, so hopefully that cable setup you mentioned will be sorted.
