I'm planning to build a new PC with a Ryzen 5 7600X and DDR5 RAM in a micro ATX form factor, but I'm stuck on whether I should opt for a motherboard with two RAM slots or four. What should I consider when making this decision?

Honestly, having more RAM slots isn't crucial enough to warrant extra cost. For best performance on Ryzen CPUs, it's usually better to stick with just two sticks of RAM, like 2x16GB at 6000MHz with a CL30 timing. It helps reduce interference and is more stable overall.
If you can, go for two slots. More slots mean the memory controller works harder, which can impact stability. Plus, with two slots open, you can easily upgrade later without having to replace your existing RAM.
I’m looking to get a kit of 2x16GB, so I’m not sure.
Are you mainly gaming, or do you have other tasks in mind?
I want to do gaming, schoolwork, and more!
Is using CL36 bad for AM5?
