Choosing the Best Monitor Replacement from Warranty Options

I recently used my warranty to replace a faulty monitor, but the original model wasn't in stock. Instead, I have three alternatives to choose from: the VG249QL3A, VG259QR, and VY279HGE. My previous monitor was the Asus VG249Q, a 24" 144Hz model, which had issues with backlight bleed, making darker scenes hard to see, especially in games like Kingdom Come: Deliverance. I'm looking for a monitor that avoids these problems. Since I have another 24'' monitor, I'm leaning towards the two 24-inch options, but I'm also open to the 27-inch if it's significantly better. Which one should I consider?

If it were me, I'd stick with the 27-inch option. I upgraded from a 25" 144Hz display to a 27" WQHD model, and I can’t go back. That said, keep in mind that the VY279HGE is still just FHD, so the pixel density might not be as sharp as you're used to. Just something to think about!

I'd definitely go with the VG249QL3A. It offers faster refresh rates and great tech for gaming. If you're sensitive about the backlight issues you faced, this model should give you a better experience overall.

Looking at the specs, I'd recommend the VG249QL3A. It's a 23.8" IPS panel with 180Hz refresh rate, which is an upgrade over your old monitor. The fast IPS technology should help with color accuracy and viewing angles, plus it has Freesync and G-Sync compatibility. The 27-inch VY279HGE could also be tempting, but I would caution against it for 1080p, as the pixel density might not look great on a larger screen.
