Choosing the Right High-End GPU for My First PC Build

Hey everyone! I'm building my very first PC and am stuck on choosing the right graphics card. I've done my research and picked out my parts for a high-end build (see the list below). However, given the current market situation, I know some folks recommend waiting, but I can't. I'm in Germany for an exchange program that ends in July, and I need to finalize my build before then. My main concern is the GPU; I know the RTX 5080 isn't the best value at the moment considering its price and VRAM, but I'm limited to Nvidia for my engineering software. Should I just go ahead and get the 5080, or are there better options out there?

Honestly, I would opt for the 5070 Ti. It's more than enough for most tasks and the 5080 only offers about a 15% performance boost, which isn't worth the extra price in my opinion. Here’s a system I’d recommend:

Thanks for the suggestion! Just curious, is the performance gap really that negligible? What other parts did you choose for your build?

The 5080 is probably your best bet given your needs. If you're okay with a little less performance, you could consider the 5070 Ti, which also has 16GB of VRAM, but it really depends on what you prioritize. Another alternative could be searching for a used RTX 4090, though that could still be pricier!
