Choosing the Right Linux Distro for Coding, Art, and Gaming

Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to install a Linux distro when I'm ready to make the switch from Windows in the future. I'll be using an AMD setup, and I'm a student in software engineering with a passion for art and animation, often using tools like Clip Studio Paint EX, After Effects, and Sony Vegas. I'm not into PVP games, so I'm mainly focused on single-player experiences. My hesitations about moving to Linux stem from the limited support for Clip Studio Paint and some games from Hoyoverse like Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact, which could potentially lead to bans due to their anti-cheat systems. I'm hoping these tools and games get support for Linux down the line. For now, I stick with Windows, but I'm curious – when the time comes for me to switch, what Linux distros would best suit my coding, gaming, art, and animation needs? I want something versatile that can handle everything!

If you want to use all those specific software, sticking with Windows might be the best bet for now. You could maybe dual boot, but things like Clip Studio Paint still run better on Windows. They say you might get it working through Wine, but it’s hit or miss. VMs are another option, but that could get tricky if you need to dedicate a lot of time to those programs.
