Hey everyone! I'm curious to hear about your experiences with Claude Code, Cline, and Aider. I've noticed that Claude Code seems to underperform compared to Cline and Aider, even though I've set them up similarly. Specifically, I've been encountering more hallucinations when using Claude Code. For context, I'm using Sonnet 3.7 for Cline and it generally works well for me. I even created some simple bugs on purpose to test its flaw detection, and Cline caught them while Claude Code missed them. I'd also love to hear your thoughts on which of these tools does a better job with large codebases and properly implementing changes. Thanks!

I've used a lot of MCP along with Claude Desktop. My main frustration is with the limits. Aider has a great foundation but falls short on user experience. I prefer Claude Desktop since it's easier to guide and adjust. For bug detection, tools like Sonnet 3.7 have outperformed Claude Code for me. I've built my own tool that helps visualize complex workflows, and it’s been terrific. Overall, Claude Code feels like trying to fit it into my existing workflow instead of adapting to it.
Your ai-code-fusion tool sounds amazing! It really helped me with project architecture.
I've switched fully from Claude Sonnet 3.7 to Gemini 2.5 Pro, and I find it more capable with tools, especially MCP servers. Unlike Sonnet, it responds intelligently to when to call these tools instead of waiting for prompts, which is a game changer.
I tried Gemini 2.5 Pro too, but I felt overwhelmed by the comments it leaves. Have you managed to adjust this? How does it compare to Claude 3.7 for you?
I've primarily switched to Claude Code after using Aider extensively. I code for 12-14 hours daily and have a repository of about 400k lines of code. For me, Claude Code has been glitch-free, and I haven't encountered hallucinations in months. It seems like the key is in properly setting up your instructions file. Maybe your prompts need some adjustments?
How much more productive do you feel using Claude Code compared to without it? With the $5K monthly cost, I’d expect a boost of at least 2-3 times.
Why not maximize your investment with the $200 plan for Claude Code? Just curious how much productivity you're gaining with it for that price.
I'm a fan of Claude Code! I find it essential for keeping my AI consistent and focused. It really helps when I have documentation sources and rules laid out. I think there's a danger of getting distracted by shiny new tools. For my projects, Claude Code just works best with the right documentation and setup.
