I'm not really familiar with this community, but I wanted to share something unsettling I experienced during a chat with the bot. I noticed a clear instance where it seemed to lie about how my data is being used, and it's genuinely making me question whether I should take any action. Has anyone else experienced this?

I get where you're coming from, but it sounds like you might be misunderstanding how data works. Your browser can give away your location without needing the bot to store anything. Things like your IP address, browser settings, and even GPS can reveal a lot about where you are. It's a bit of a leap to think the bot is lying when there are many other data sources at play. If privacy is a concern, maybe it's best to steer clear of large tech apps altogether!
The chat model itself doesn't know your location unless you've mentioned it. However, OpenAI has recently introduced some ad tools that might seem like they know personal details, but it works more like targeted ads based on general info. It’s a bit opaque, like a black box, and they haven't fully explained how it functions yet. If you're using an account to log in, it’s worth checking if you've agreed to any data sharing.
