I'm a bit lost when it comes to connecting my GPU. Right now, I'm using a 1060, which requires a 6-pin power cable. My friend gave me his old 1070, but I ran into a problem: it seems to have a different connection setup. The 1070 has a total of 12 pins. From what I read, all 12 pins need to be hooked up for it to work properly. I looked for the right cable and couldn't find it, especially since I believe it should've come with my power supply, but it's long gone after 10 years. It sounds like your 1070 might actually have two 6-pin connectors instead of a single 12-pin connector. If that's the case, you should be able to use the 6-pin cable you have. However, if it runs on 8 pin connections, just using your 6-pin and the additional two should work fine, but always double-check the specs to ensure it's safe!
