Connecting PC to TV for Couch Gaming: Do I Need to Configure Audio for My Soundbar?

Hey everyone! Happy weekend! I recently picked up Crimson Desert on my PC and I'm excited to play it on my OLED TV since I prefer gaming from the couch. My TV is hooked up with an eARC HDMI connection. My main question is: if I connect my PC to the TV using an HDMI cable, will the game sound play through my soundbar automatically, or do I need to adjust some settings to make it work? Thanks for your help!

You'll need to activate the audio output through the HDMI settings in your GPU or Windows settings. It doesn't always switch automatically, so check to make sure you've selected the right output for the sound.

As long as you don't unplug the eARC HDMI cable when connecting your PC, the audio should come out of the soundbar automatically. Source: I've done this myself, and it works just fine!

If your TV is configured to output all audio through the soundbar, you should be good to go! Just make sure the soundbar is on and set as the audio device on your TV.

I had some trouble getting mine to work over eARC, so I ended up just using Bluetooth to connect my PC to the soundbar instead. It worked for me!
