Considering a 9700x and 5070ti for Gaming and Photo Editing?

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a new gaming and photo editing PC and I've been eyeing the 9700x CPU paired with a 5070ti GPU. I'm curious whether the 5070ti would be sufficient for 4K gaming or if I should consider something else. It's been a long time since I built a PC (still using a 1080ti), so I'm a bit out of the loop regarding the latest options and rumors around upcoming releases. Any thoughts?

The 5070ti is definitely a solid choice for gaming right now, especially for 4K. While the 5080 and 5090 are better for the highest settings, the 5070ti holds its own and can handle most games quite well. Just be sure to check benchmarks for the specific games you're planning to play to gauge performance. Depending on your settings, you might even get by with something less powerful if you're not aiming for max settings.

Thanks for the insight! I’ve been hesitant to go cheaper, but I may explore lower-spec options since it fits my current gaming needs.

If you’re open to AMD, the 9700x is decent, but I recommend Intel's 12600k with a solid Z890 motherboard for around the same price. It performs great too!

Both setups are good! But if you want an AMD CPU, the 9700x is a solid bet, just weigh your options based on current prices!

You might also want to consider the 9070xt if it’s cheaper where you are. It can make a big difference depending on local pricing!

Yeah, I've noticed the 9070xt can be a couple hundred less, which might be a better deal!

Honestly, the 5070ti beats the 4070 by a good margin, so it should do just fine for 4K gaming. If you're not super picky about frame rates, it'll serve you well for a while!

That's a relief! I usually don't mind sacrificing some fps for a smooth experience; sounds like I’ll be good to go.
