I'm thinking about water cooling my system, which has a 5080 GPU and a 9800x3D CPU. I play a lot of demanding games, and my PC gets pretty noisy at times, sometimes loud enough that I can hear it through my headphones. My GPU is a Palit Gamerock model, and I'm aware it's not the best out there. Does anyone know about the cost involved in setting up water cooling?

Honestly, if noise is your main concern, investing in some Noctua fans could do wonders. Water cooling requires a lot of effort and is often more hassle than it’s worth for just noise reduction.
Water cooling still uses fans that can be noisy, so keep in mind that it may not solve all your noise issues. These days, it often comes down to aesthetics rather than performance.
While water cooling might not be necessary, it can definitely help. It's essential to identify which part is causing the most noise – is it the GPU, CPU, or both? Sometimes just one of them can be the culprit.
If you're ready for the extra expense and work that comes with water cooling, then go for it! Just keep in mind that it involves maintenance and can be frustrating, but it can absolutely enhance performance if done right.
Going for a custom water cooling loop can really drain your wallet, often costing between $400 to $800 for the GPU block, pump, radiator, fittings, and other essentials. If you're primarily looking to reduce noise, there are more cost-effective methods you might want to consider, like upgrading to better air cooling or an AIO cooler and tuning your fan curves instead.

That sounds interesting! But on average, how much should I expect to spend to set this up?
