I was trying to free up some storage on my computer using the Windows settings app, and I noticed my music folder was taking up a whopping 25GB! I clicked on it to see what was going on, but I couldn't find any visible files inside. This left me really confused and worried, especially since Google suggested it could be malware. I regularly run deep scans with Malwarebytes and check all the settings, but it never finds anything. I'm running another scan now, but if it shows no malware, what else could be the issue? Could it just be sophisticated malware or something non-malicious?

Windows settings can be pretty unreliable for checking disk usage. I recommend using a tool like TreeSize Free for a clearer view of what’s taking up space. It helped me find hidden folders that were eating up storage. Give it a try!
I agree, TreeSize Free is super helpful for these situations!
If you're not detecting anything with Malwarebytes, it might not be malware. Sometimes, system glitches can cause incorrect disk space reporting. Make sure to back everything up before you panic. If it’s just a glitch, it should resolve itself after a restart.
That makes sense! I’ll try restarting and see if that helps.
Exactly, don’t stress too much just yet. It could just be a weird bug.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely check out TreeSize Free.
