I'm worried that my coworkers may be accessing my files without my permission through the admin share hostnameC$. I'd like to find out where I can find log files that show who might have accessed my documents. Any advice on this?

Talk to your IT department if you're concerned. They can clarify what access your coworkers have. It's also wise not to keep personal files on corporate devices; you'd be surprised how frequently IT might need to access them for maintenance.
Thanks for the input everyone! This is kind of a management issue too. If I feel uncomfortable, I might need to have a chat with my manager. Just trying to avoid unnecessary drama!
Let's be real, if you're using a work computer, those files technically belong to your employer. So storing personal files there isn't a good idea. Also, if your coworkers have access to the C$ share, they likely need admin privileges to dig around. More importantly, I'd suggest avoiding paranoia and focusing on keeping personal stuff off work devices.
Definitely. As a junior admin, I had a past experience where a coworker accessed my locked work logs using their admin credentials. Be aware that things can get messy.
First off, if it’s a corporate machine, you're right; it’s not really your files. I'd suggest looking up how to apply an audit policy on the folder using Microsoft’s guidelines. Just curious though, what's on your computer that you think your coworkers would be snooping on?
Your coworkers should only have user-level access unless they have local admin rights. So, if your company is managing its Active Directory correctly, you should be fine. Maybe don’t jump to conclusions about snooping just yet!
And we should be promoting ethical behavior within our teams. Let's not abuse those elevated permissions!
