Could My CPU Be the Problem?

A few months ago, my PC suddenly froze, and I had to unplug it to reset because it wouldn't boot up again. Now, it won't start up the BIOS or Windows, and the motherboard's DRAM light is stuck on. I sent the motherboard back for an RMA, but they found nothing wrong. I also tried different RAM sticks and bought a new PSU that meets the right wattage. The only components left I can think that could be faulty are the GPU and CPU; I have an RTX 4080 Super and a Ryzen 9 7950X.

It sounds like you've tried a lot already! Have you unplugged everything besides the essentials like the keyboard, mouse, and monitor? If it still doesn't boot to BIOS, you should listen for any beep codes, which can help narrow down the issue.

You've done most of the troubleshooting already. If you can, try borrowing a GPU from a friend to see if that resolves the issue. If it doesn't work, then it likely comes down to the CPU. If you're considering replacing it, look for a store with a good return policy—like Amazon—so you can return it if it doesn't solve your problem.

Since you've already unplugged the GPU and other components, it might point towards the CPU being the culprit. However, there could also be an installation issue causing a short somewhere.
