Could My Devices Be Affected by Malware or Something Else?

Lately, I've been facing problems with three of my devices. My iPhone's camera and flashlight have stopped functioning, my TV is just showing a black screen with no response, and my Xbox controllers have these annoying sensitivity issues that make gaming impossible. I've tried hard resetting all these devices but haven't had any luck. I'm really stuck here and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like you've got a lot going on with those devices! First off, I don’t think malware is the issue here because you wouldn’t typically see that happen across so many different types of devices. I'd recommend rebooting your phone and, if that doesn't work, consider doing a factory reset. For your TV, try unplugging it and plugging it back in or testing different HDMI cables. Don't forget to completely power cycle your Xbox and re-pair your controllers! These problems are likely separate from each other instead of stemming from malware.

Thanks for the tips! I've done most of that stuff with the TV and phone, but I haven't messed much with the Xbox yet since I just got a new elite controller and the problem is still there.

Honestly, I don’t think there's a type of malware that could impact your TV, Xbox controllers, and iPhone simultaneously. It could be worth looking into whether you have any power issues at home. Power surges can mess up electronics pretty badly, and that might explain the problems you’re experiencing, especially with the TV and Xbox.

Appreciate the advice! That makes sense for the TV and Xbox, but the iPhone camera and torch stopped working while I was out. Could there be a way that a power surge while charging would cause that damage with a delay?
