Could My PC Issues Be Due to a PSU or RAM Problem?

I've been having some trouble with my PC lately. Sometimes when I turn it on, the monitor and keyboard don't connect or turn on. It feels really slow, and when I try to launch a game, it crashes within a few minutes. I ran a Windows memory diagnostic, and it reported no issues with the RAM. However, I noticed these problems started occurring after I unplugged and then replugged the PSU cable, which had been bent for quite some time. I didn't see any visible damage on the PSU itself, but could the cable be faulty? Or is it more likely that the PSU is failing?

It sounds like your PC might be overheating. One common cause can be dust buildup, especially if you haven’t cleaned your PC in a while. Dust can obstruct airflow and lead to overheating, which could explain the slowness and crashes. Have you considered giving it a good cleaning?

You might be onto something with the PSU cable. Even if it looks fine, internal damage can happen when cables are bent. If the connection isn’t solid, it might cause power issues. I’d also recommend checking the power supply itself—sometimes they can fail without visible signs. If possible, try swapping it out with a known working PSU to see if that resolves the issue.
