Could my SSD be causing random crashes?

I purchased an NVMe Samsung 970 Evo Pro and installed it on my B450M DS3H motherboard about two years ago. It initially showed no issues and tested fine. Lately, though, I've been having these weird crashes, especially after my PC wakes up from sleep or sometimes during the boot process. The screen freezes, goes black, and my keyboard and mouse turn off, but the system stays powered up—fans and lights are still active. I've done stress tests on the whole system, covering the memory, GPU, and SSD, and everything passes, yet the crashes keep happening. Could my SSD be at fault?

Have you checked if your SSD drivers are up to date? Sometimes, driver issues can lead to weird behaviors like what you're experiencing. Keeping your software updated can be key!

I use Samsung Magician to keep an eye on that, and it hasn’t flagged any needed updates recently.

Just a heads up, the only driver available for that SSD is optional, so it might not be the core issue.

Are you overclocking your CPU, GPU, or RAM at all? That can cause instability if not managed right. Just wondering if you’ve tried running everything at stock settings to see if the crashes stop.

I’m actually undervolting my GPU, but I've tested with default settings too, and the problem persists.
