I've been dealing with wifi connectivity issues on my PC for about 3-4 years now, initially thinking the problem was with the router. After doing some digging, I've come across information suggesting that there could be interference between my wifi adapter (which is connected to a USB 3.0 port) and my mouse (using a USB 2.0 port). I've read that USB 3.0 can cause problems, and I'm considering getting a powered USB 3.0 hub to plug the wifi adapter into. Am I heading in the right direction here, or should I explore other options? Would it be better to install a dedicated wifi adapter directly onto my motherboard? This situation is really getting on my nerves, with my internet dropping every few minutes!

You're onto something! USB 3.0 can indeed interfere with 2.4 GHz wifi signals. Using a USB hub won't really help unless you opt for a USB 2.0 hub, which might slow things down. A better idea is to get a USB extension cable. You can run that cable and place the wifi adapter higher up and further away from your computer - that should help a lot! Just remember, if you do go for a built-in solution, choose an adapter with antennas that can be positioned for better reception.
An interesting alternative is to get a male-to-female USB cable and place your wifi adapter away from the PC. Ideally, position it so that it has a clear line of sight to the router. This could significantly boost your signal! Just make sure to check if the length of the cable works with your setup.
