Hey everyone, I recently downloaded a VPN from a Russian site, and after restarting my computer, a lot of my icons disappeared. I ran a scan with Malwarebytes, and it flagged some malware, but my issues are still not resolved. Is it possible that this is a virus? What should I do next?

It could definitely be malware, especially since Malwarebytes flagged it. The best move right now would be to wipe your computer and reinstall Windows. In the future, be cautious about downloading software from sketchy sites; that's a common way for malware to get onto your system.
Is there really no way to fix this without a complete reinstall?
