Could TikTok Search History Be Caused by Unauthorized Account Access?

I checked my boyfriend's TikTok search history and found a lot of pornographic searches. He insists he didn't make them, and some searches appear to have happened four times within a single second, which seems difficult to do manually. He has admitted to having issues with lust in the past but says that stopped when we started seeing each other. TikTok's login information only shows his current phone, plus an unfamiliar iPhone XS. He used to have an iPhone X several years ago, but never an XS. The unfamiliar device accessed both of his accounts, and the strange searches seem to have appeared afterward. He became very upset and cried while saying he didn't do it. Could this be a glitch, automated activity, or someone accessing his account?

The search history alone may not prove who made the searches, but the unfamiliar iPhone login is worth taking seriously. Check the exact login dates and device sessions, remove anything unrecognized, and review account security before deciding what happened. The safest assumption is that someone else may have accessed the account, especially since an unfamiliar device appears in the login history. Sign out of every device, change the TikTok password to a unique one, enable two-factor authentication, and secure the email or Apple account connected to TikTok. Also avoid sharing Apple accounts, since access to one account can sometimes expose other services.
