I'm almost done with my CPU installation, but I'm having a major issue with my CPU fan. The spring-loaded screws just won't screw into the holes on my motherboard, no matter how well I align everything. Is there an easy solution to fix this?

Are you sure the backplate is installed on the motherboard? That’s often crucial for the fan installation to work properly. It should provide stability for the screws to catch.
Well, surprisingly, there isn't a backplate on my motherboard. I'm confused because I've been using my previous CPU just fine without one. Do you think I should get one now?
