Hey everyone, I've been using my Crucial BX500 SSD for about 80 days and I've only written a total of 7.66TB. However, the health status is showing only 1% left! Here are some specifics: Percent Lifetime Remain is 1, Unused Reserve NAND Block is 30, Average Block-Erase Count is 10, and Reallocated NAND Block Count is 0. Given that this model has an estimated TBW of 360, I'm starting to wonder if I should initiate a warranty claim or if I'm misunderstanding the data. What do you think?

Absolutely, RMA that SSD. I use mine for 8+ hours daily, and my older model is still at 96% health after 3-4 years. It’s a 4TB drive, and I've certainly written more than you! SSDs should last well beyond their rated lifespan, typically around ten years without concern unless left powered off for too long.
What tool are you using to check the health? Sometimes tools display the data in a confusing way, like showing a count up to 100% remaining. This could mean you're actually sitting at 99%, which isn't bad for 7TB written on a 360TBW drive.
I've often wondered about what happens when SSDs hit zero health. Do they just stop working, or do they go into read-only mode?
From what I know, they usually enter a read-only state when they realize they’re at the end.
If you’re trying to check your drive’s health, it's usually stored in the SSD using TRIM. Tools like Samsung Magician or CrystalDiskInfo work well for all brands. You should check those out for reliability in your readings.
Yeah, I'd definitely recommend starting the RMA process right away. That health percentage is concerning, especially for such a relatively low amount of data written.
I think suggesting an RMA without digging deeper is a bit hasty. Some Crucial SSDs report data differently. Make sure you understand the SMART attributes before jumping to conclusions.
How do you check the health? I usually use CrystalDiskInfo, and if you're seeing the same low ratings across multiple tools, returning it seems like a no-brainer.
That definitely puts things into perspective! 7 out of 360 is about 1.9%, so it might not be as dire as it seems.
