Hey everyone! I'm currently a Computer Science student and I'm stuck trying to decide between two career paths: Data Science (or Data Engineering) and Java Backend Development, specifically with Spring Boot. I've already got some experience with the MERN stack and love tackling problem-solving tasks and backend logic. I'm keen to learn new tools, but I have a few questions that are weighing on my mind: Which path offers better long-term career growth? Where can I expect higher salaries as I gain experience? Lastly, which field is in higher demand right now, both globally and specifically in India, and is likely to remain high-demand in the future? I'd really appreciate insights from anyone who has worked in one or both fields or even made a switch between them. Thanks for your help!
