I recently swapped out the battery on my Dell Inspiron 13 5370 for a new third-party one, and now I have this weird issue: when I shut down my laptop while it's running on battery, it just restarts instead of staying off. I tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, and for a little while, the problem went away, but then it returned. It feels like there's a glitch somewhere in how the hardware and software are working together.

You might want to check your laptop's BIOS settings. There's often a feature that can turn the laptop back on when you open the lid, and this setting can get reset when you replace the battery. Just something to consider! Let me know if that helps!
I checked that option, but it turns out it’s not the problem since it still restarts even with the lid closed. Appreciate the suggestion though!
