Diagnosing No Display Issue: Is My GPU or Motherboard at Fault?

I'm having a problem with my PC where there's no display output. It used to work fine until one day I turned it on and just got a black screen. The GPU light (VGA light) stays illuminated during the POST process, and while the PC powers on and remains on, I can't see anything on the monitor. Here are my specs: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT GPU, MSI B450 Tomahawk motherboard, and a new 1000W Super Flower PSU (replacing an old Corsair RM850). I've already tried reseating the GPU, clearing the CMOS, reseating the RAM, checking all the cables, and swapping out the PSU, but the issue persists. Initially, the GPU fans didn't spin at all, but after reseating, they now spin a bit longer. I'm starting to wonder if I have a dead GPU, a bad PCIe slot, or something else entirely. Any advice on what I should do next?

That PSU is definitely overkill, but it shouldn't cause a no display issue. Have you tried putting the GPU in a different PCIe slot? Sometimes the PCIe slot itself can fail. If swapping slots doesn’t help, the problem might be with the motherboard.

Sounds like you've done a lot of troubleshooting already! If your RAM was reseated as a full set, it might be worth testing one stick at a time to rule out any issues there. Also, if you can, try borrowing a GPU from an office PC just for testing. If that doesn't work either, the motherboard is likely the culprit.
