Hey everyone! I just built my first PC and I used ChatGPT for some guidance. I'm aiming to create a machine that runs 10-bit 4K footage smoothly in DaVinci Resolve and is also capable of handling some casual gaming, like GTA and Counter Strike. The budget is about €2000. Here's the build that ChatGPT suggested:
**CPU:** AMD Ryzen 9 7900X (12c/24t) — ~€330-400
**Motherboard:** B650 (e.g. Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX) — ~€150-200
**GPU:** NVIDIA RTX 4070 — ~€600-770
**RAM:** 64 GB DDR5 (2x32) 5200-5600 — ~€220-300
**NVMe Storage:** 1 TB PCIe-4 NVMe (e.g. Crucial T500) — ~€90-130
**Project Storage:** 2 TB HDD/SATA SSD — ~€50-80
**Power Supply:** 750 W 80+ Gold modular (e.g. Corsair RM750x) — ~€150-175
**Case:** ATX mid tower (good ventilation) — ~€60-100
**CPU Cooler:** 240mm AIO or good air cooler — ~€60-100
**Extras:** Cables, thermal paste — ~€30-50

What are your thoughts on this build? I'm doing my research, but I'd love some human insights to ensure I've made good choices!

Your build looks pretty sound, but I'd recommend checking out newer components like the 5070 series and Ryzen 9000 series. For storage, you can probably skip the extra cables and thermal paste since those often come with your parts. As for RAM, I'd stick with 6000 MT/s to get the best performance especially for video editing.

I think you might want to consider an 8-core processor instead of the 12 cores since 8 should be more than sufficient for your video editing unless you're doing 3D rendering. Also, upgrading to SSD storage instead of HDD can save you a lot of hassle. Remember to look into used parts for better deals!

ChatGPT might be a bit behind on the latest tech! I put your details into my own system and came up with a solid build without much change. For productivity, I usually stick with Intel, so maybe check out their latest processors too. And look for a reliable power supply that’s well-rated!
