Hey everyone! I just repasted my CPU using MX-4 and the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE cooler, and I wanted to get some opinions on my application. It looks like you applied too much. While it shouldn’t cause any issues, it will be a bit of a hassle to clean up later on. I’d suggest using about half that amount next time. The pressure from the cooler will really spread the paste out into a super thin layer. A pea-sized amount usually does the trick!
I’m considering switching to PTM 7950 for my next application. Do you think that would be a good choice?
