Did I damage my iPhone 15 Pro by leaving it in a steamy bathroom?

I have a habit of taking hot showers, and I accidentally left my iPhone 15 Pro nearby during one of those showers. While it didn't get direct water, it was exposed to steam for about 8 to 11 minutes before I realized it and promptly shut it down. I'm fairly tech-savvy, so I took some steps: I turned off the phone shortly after noticing the steam, checked the SIM tray for moisture, removed it to let moisture escape, took off the case, and placed it in a well-ventilated area. Currently, there are some bubbles in the camera, which is concerning. I'm planning to let it dry for over 100 hours while I use my backup phone. Did I handle this properly, or is there anything else I should do?

Try putting some silica gel packets near it or using a fan to help it dry out faster. That can absorb extra moisture!

My iPhone has survived many steamy showers without issues! If it's just the bubbles, maybe they're just trapped air. Keep an eye on it!

If you have a backup phone, letting it dry for 100 hours sounds like a solid plan! Your precautions so far seem good.

What exactly do you mean by bubbles in the camera? Most phones should be able to deal with steam just fine. I've left mine in a steamy bathroom loads of times and never had an issue. Are you sure those bubbles are moisture and that they weren't there before?

You're stressing over nothing! The iPhone 15 Pro is IP68 rated, meaning it can handle submersion for up to 30 minutes. Just let it dry out for a few hours and you should be fine.
