Did I get a downgrade with the wrong motherboard from Microcenter?

I recently upgraded my PC with a bundle from Microcenter that was supposed to include an AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3d, 32GB of DDR5 memory, and an Asus X870-E Plus motherboard. However, I ended up with an MSI Pro X870-P motherboard instead. I'm really frustrated since I didn't notice the mistake until I'd fully built my PC, and returning it would mean a 3.5-hour drive back to the store. Are these two motherboards comparable enough for gaming, or should I be concerned about this mix-up?

You definitely want to get the correct motherboard if you can, since what they gave you is technically a downgrade. It'll work for now, but if you run into issues down the line, it might be a hassle. I get that it's a pain to return it after building, though!

Yeah, I get the frustration! I ordered the ASUS one but they handed me the MSI by mistake. Just didn't realize until it was all set up.
