I purchased two 128GB SanDisk A2 micro SD cards intending to use them in my drone and security camera. Everything about the packaging and the cards seems authentic, but when I format them using disk management, they only show 23.1 GB of space. I wouldn't consider myself an expert, but I've dabbled in hard drives for a while now, and I'm starting to suspect that these cards might be mislabeled. It seems like they could have taken 28GB cards and repackaged them as 128GB. Since I don't frequently buy hardware online, is this a common scam? I just want to ensure I'm not missing something before I take action on this issue.

Unfortunately, Amazon has quite a few sketchy sellers and listings. I tend to avoid third-party sellers for this reason. If you can, share the link to where you bought those cards, maybe we can check if others have experienced similar issues.
Honestly, it’s best to buy storage devices in person. Scams like this are all too common, and I've found that Amazon doesn’t always catch them.
It sounds like you might have fallen victim to a scam. It's pretty easy for sellers to put labels on cards stating any capacity they want. If you bought directly from Amazon, you should be able to return them without too much hassle.
Good point! Are you using an older SD card reader? Sometimes those can only read cards up to 28GB. If that's the case, try a different reader to rule that out.

I tested with a second card reader and also checked it with a card I know works. Unfortunately, it still looks like I've been scammed with these mislabeled cards. Thanks for the suggestion!
