I've been wanting to get back into PC gaming after selling my old one due to financial issues. I usually play games like osu!, Geometry Dash, indie titles, and Minecraft, which don't require top-of-the-line specs. After chatting with a good friend about my situation, he offered to sell me his old gaming PC. I bought it for $100, adding another $20 for his mouse and mousepad. The specs are an i5 8400 processor, 32GB of RAM, and an RTX 3050 graphics card. Now that I've looked online, I'm not sure if I got a good deal or if this computer is even worth $100. Can anyone help me assess this?

Honestly, for $100, that's an awesome deal! The PC might not play the latest games at high settings, but it's definitely capable of handling the games you mentioned. The specs you got are solid for older titles and indie games. You really shouldn’t worry about it too much; your friend probably gave you a steal here.
You shouldn't feel scammed! Even if some think the specs aren't great, a dedicated GPU means you've got a decent setup for the price. Sure, it won't run everything flawlessly, but for what you need, it's absolutely a great entry point into gaming again. Plus, the graphics card itself is worth a good chunk of money!
$100 for that PC is a bargain, man! The graphics card alone retails for around $150-$200! Your friend sold it at a great price to help you get back into gaming. If it works and turns on properly, you're golden!
Yeah, it was so our friend group could play together. He sold it cheap because he knew I would take care of it, and I appreciate that.
