I was browsing and accidentally hovered over a link from a post about the Netflix/Warner buyout. It was one of those image links that Reddit sometimes shows, and I'm starting to panic that I might have a virus now. Is it possible I got infected, and are there really government spies watching me? Just to clarify, I'm using an Intel computer with Windows 11.

It's understandable to worry, but just hovering over a link usually won't infect your computer. If you're concerned about malware, consider running a scanning tool just to be safe.
I mean, anything's possible, but the government spying on you? Highly unlikely! Your Windows system and ISP will have some monitoring, but it's more of a privacy concern than immediate danger.
Just shut down your computer and unplug it for a few days, right? That should do the trick... or so I've heard!
Honestly, no need to stress too much. Just be cautious about what you click. If you're really worried, maybe do a virus scan or check your system for any suspicious activity.
