I'm working on a PC build and need some advice about my power supply. I've got an ASRock X870E Taichi motherboard that requires 2x8pin connectors, plus I'm using dual RTX 3090 GPUs, which need 2x8pin connectors each. I ended up purchasing the Asus TUF Gaming 1200G PSU, which I thought would be enough, but now I'm worried that I might not have enough 8pin connectors. I couldn't find any PSUs on PCPartPicker that would meet these requirements. Should I have chosen a different motherboard, or is there a way to make this work? So, here's the deal: your motherboard and GPUs use different types of cables. The motherboard uses 8-pin EPS cables, while your GPUs use 8-pin PCIe cables. Luckily, the PSU you picked actually has enough connectors—two EPS cables and four PCIe cables should cover it. Just make sure you connect the right ones and you should be good to go!
