Did I make a smart choice buying DDR5 RAM?

Hey everyone! I recently splurged on some DDR5 RAM for 138 euros. It's a Kingston FURY Beast Blanco with 32GB and a speed of 5600MT/s CL36. My dad thinks I might've overpaid, but I'm feeling decent about it. I want to know if this was a bad deal based on what you think about the current specifications and pricing. I'm planning to use it in a future PC build. Any thoughts? Sorry if my English isn't perfect!

To be honest, that RAM was probably worth around 80-90 dollars six months ago. Prices have definitely jumped. If you need RAM for a build now, it's okay; just consider if waiting a bit for prices to drop might be worth it. If you're just buying it without plans to build soon, though, you might be overspending a bit.

Thanks for the insight! I'm hoping prices stabilize soon—was counting on this RAM for my build!

Honestly, 5600MHz isn't the most sought-after speed right now. People are aiming for 6000MHz with CL30 timings. But hey, if you’re building a PC soon, don’t stress too much about it. Just enjoy your RAM!

That's good to know! I'm really looking forward to my build, so I guess I'll just roll with it!

Yeah, if you're using it soon, it’ll still be a solid choice for what you want!

It really depends on how you plan to use it. If you're all about maximizing your frames in high-end games, you might want better RAM. But if you're just playing casual games like online poker, it should be completely fine for you.

Totally! I'm not into hardcore gaming, so I think this will fit my needs just right.
