Did I Mess Up By Ignoring the Compatibility Chart for My PC Parts?

Hey everyone! So, I just ordered some new PC components but totally overlooked the motherboard-RAM compatibility chart on the manufacturer's website. My motherboard is an Asus TUF B650M Plus WiFi, and the RAM I bought is G.Skill Trident Z5 (2x16GB, 6000MHz, CL36). The Asus site mentions that these aren't compatible, but I've seen the same RAM model with different timings (CL40) that supposedly works. How big of a mistake did I make? Should I be worried that it won't work?

The compatibility chart, while helpful, is more of a guideline. Lots of users have found that components not on the list tend to work just fine. So, don't stress too much!

Thanks! I'm planning to share my build once it's done.

Honestly, QVL doesn't define your build. I'm using RAM that's not listed on the QVL, and it works perfectly. You should be fine!

Thanks for the reassurance!

Those charts aren't comprehensive. They're just memory that has been tested to work okay, but there are many other combinations that work brilliantly without being listed. I've noticed the same thing with CPUs on compatibility lists. Just because it's not on the list doesn’t mean it won't work!
