I tried to build a new PC but got a bit lazy about unplugging everything properly. I just disconnected the SSD and SATA cables while the power was still plugged in and turned the PC on and off several times. Now, when I power it on, I get a blue recovery screen stating that Windows files are corrupted or can't be found (error: 0xc000000f). Do you think my SSD is toast?

It’s not the best practice to unplug things while they’re powered, but in most cases, it won't cause any permanent damage. Check your BIOS settings, sometimes they switch the boot disks around on their own.
Most likely you're fine! Just because you unplugged some cables while the power was still on doesn’t mean everything's broken. Have you tried booting it up again after reconnecting the cables? Sometimes components are more resilient than we think.
Just a heads up, if you're dealing with blue screens, try to get dump files to analyze the issue, but it seems like you might already have it sorted out! Glad to hear it worked out for you!
Nope, you're probably good! It’s concerning, but usually when you mess around with cables, things don’t just break. Just make sure everything is plugged back in nicely before powering it on.
If you’re getting a recovery screen, that’s not ideal, but it might not be a total loss. Just make sure your SATA cables are connected properly. You’ll be fine once you sort that out!
