Did My Laptop Just Upgrade to Windows 11 Without My Permission?

So, here's the deal: my old 2016 laptop, which has been running Windows 10 just fine, suddenly decided to upgrade to Windows 11 on its own. It warned me about security updates and then went ahead and installed Windows 11, despite saying my Intel Core was too old for it. Now I'm freaked out because it seems slower and hotter just one hour in. Should I be worried about this upgrade? Should I revert back to Windows 10 manually or is Windows 11 manageable?

Before you do anything drastic, I recommend keeping an eye on how it behaves over the next few days. Sometimes, the system just needs to adjust after an upgrade. Make sure your backups are up to date, though; you wouldn’t want to lose any data if things get wonky. Also, check if there’s a Windows 11 FAQ out there for common issues!

Honestly, I find it kind of ridiculous. Microsoft may be trying to push customers into buying new hardware while leaving older machines hanging. But, hey, it might be worth seeing what options are available now. They could start relaxing their upgrade restrictions if enough people complain about it.

Yeah, right? I mean, my old machine is still pretty decent despite its age. It feels like they’re just forcing us to buy new PCs instead of supporting what we have.
