Hey everyone, I have a quick question for those working in larger companies. Do your workplaces supply your computers and other tech gear? If they do, what's the procedure when something breaks down? Are you using an internal IT ticket system, do they swap it out immediately, or do they have a different method? I'm really curious to learn how different places manage this.

Absolutely, most companies provide everything needed for work, including computers and software. When something breaks down, you typically submit a ticket to IT. If it can’t be fixed in under 30 minutes, they'll just grab a new one off the shelf and you're good to go!
In my experience, yes, they definitely provide all the tech. If something isn't working right, we just call the helpdesk. They'll determine if we need a replacement or if it can be fixed remotely. They even have loaner devices available if things take a while!
That's really handy! Having that backup makes all the difference, especially when you're in the middle of important work.
Personal devices aren’t allowed at my company either—everything has to come from them. If something breaks, we just put in a ticket, but they do watch how often you ask for replacements. It’s all about keeping company data secure, right?
Yeah, that’s the best way to handle it. I’ve worked in places where I could just swap my broken laptop for a new one on the spot—all about efficiency!
