I've heard that using four DDR5 RAM sticks can reduce speeds on a dual-channel motherboard, like the MSI MPG X870E Edge TI that I'm planning to buy. If I use dummy sticks to fill two of the slots, will that still slow down the performance of the two actual RAM sticks? Any insights would be appreciated!

Nope, dummy sticks are just for show! They don’t affect the speed of your actual RAM at all.
Exactly! Dummy sticks are purely cosmetic. They won't impact your memory speeds in any way. It's just nice to have that dual-channel look.
Seriously, a couple of aluminum pieces and some lights won’t mess with your RAM speed. It’s all about how the real sticks are set up.
Not at all! Having dummy sticks won’t slow down anything. If they were, we'd call them slow sticks instead! Just enjoy the aesthetics.
