I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Business Administration, but it's not really my passion—it's more about family expectations. On the other hand, I have a strong interest in technology and coding. I've been teaching myself to become a developer, and I'm aiming for a job or internship at a medium-sized company, eventually hoping to land a position at a major tech company like Google or Microsoft. So, my main question is: Do I actually need a Computer Science degree to secure a job in this field?

While having a CS degree is not strictly necessary to get a tech job, it can definitely make a difference. Many companies use degrees as a filter to weed out candidates, so without one, you might find it tough to even get an interview. However, if you have a strong portfolio showcasing your projects, that can help out a lot.

What if my portfolio is really impressive? Would that matter?
