Hey everyone! I've got a small form factor motherboard since I'm not using a case at the moment. If I decide to get a mid ATX case, do I still have to stick with a low profile graphics card? I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything critical here. Please don't judge me, I'm really trying my best! Thanks to everyone who's helped clarify things that I couldn't find online!

You don't need to worry about the size of your motherboard when choosing a graphics card. A mid ATX case usually has enough space for full-size GPUs, so you can go for something bigger if you want!
Your GPU size is primarily determined by your case's dimensions, not the motherboard. As long as the case has enough room, a long GPU should fit just fine! Just look up the case specs to be sure.
Totally agree! Also, keep in mind the space you’ll need for other components and make sure to install those first!
As long as your case has a full PCI-E slot and enough room, you’re all set. No need to stick with a low profile card!
You can definitely use a bigger graphics card with a mid ATX case. They are specifically made to hold larger cards. Just make sure to check the case specs for the maximum GPU length to be safe!
Don't sweat it! Most modern mATX cases are built to support larger GPUs, so you should be golden. Just look for any specific size limitations in the case documentation!
Hey, don’t put yourself down! It’s great that you’re asking questions to learn!
