I'm setting up a new build with an AM5 system after using an Intel 11th gen i5, and it's my first time putting a PC together by myself. My previous computer was pre-built and came with Windows already installed. Once I finish building the new system, I'm unsure about how to install the operating system. I considered cloning the data from my old 500 GB NVMe drive to a new 2TB SSD, but if I do this, will I need to buy a new Windows license or can I use the same one? I plan to keep the 500GB SSD in the Intel system for resale purposes, as well as having a 1TB HDD in there too.

The Windows license that came with your prebuilt is tied to its hardware. Since you're making a significant upgrade, Windows will likely deactivate on the old system. Unfortunately, you'll need to purchase a new license for your new build if you want to use Windows 11 there.
Thank you, that makes sense!
