Do I Need an Adapter for My New PSU’s CPU Connections?

I'm a newbie at building PCs and recently upgraded my power supply from a 500W Cool Master to an RM850e because the original one shorted out. Now, while I'm trying to reconnect everything, I've plugged in the 12-pin and motherboard cables. The issue I'm facing is with the CPU connections – my RM850e has two 4-pin points labeled CPWR, but it doesn't come with any 4-pin connectors. Do I need to get an adapter for this? I also have an Omen 25L rebuild, which might help with context.

Make sure you're only using the new cables that came with your RM850e and not mixing them with any from your old PSU. Reusing old cables can cause damage to your components. Check the manual that came with your PSU; it should have 8-pin CPU connectors for your setup.

Your PSU should actually have 4+4 CPU cables, which means you can split them at the motherboard end. Yes, you can use one of the split connectors! Just make sure it fits snugly into the CPU power socket on your motherboard.
