Hey everyone! I'm diving into my first PC build and decided to go for a retro vibe. However, I just discovered that the case I got has a proprietary motherboard, which means I need to find my own screws. I noticed there are assorted screws on Amazon for about $9. My question for anyone who has built a retro PC from scratch: Will a standard set of screws from Amazon do the trick? Or should I be looking elsewhere? I think getting the screws to secure everything should be my top priority right now!

I've been building PCs since the 286 days and I've usually only needed two types of screws: those with big threads and those with small ones. There are different lengths and shapes, but generally, it's just those two types. I can't recall for sure if my older systems used plastic standoffs that clipped right into the motherboard, but they were pretty standard. Just get a good assortment, and you should be covered!
What era are we talking about? Like, are we thinking mid-'80s or later?
It's got a DVD player so it's not that old. Plus, there's an i5 sticker, so approximately from 2010.
