Do I need to install RAM sticks by pressing both sides at once?

I'm curious if there's any difference in method when installing RAM sticks. Specifically, can I push in one side first and then the other, or do I need to press both sides down at the same time? I've seen people do it both ways, and I want to know if it really matters for installation.

It doesn't really matter how you do it, as long as the computer is powered off. Just make sure both sides click in properly and you should be good to go!

Thanks! I definitely made sure it was unplugged. Can’t remember if I switched off the PSU too, but it seems to be working just fine.

No worries, either way is fine!

Honestly, I just push the RAM in however it feels right. As long as both sides are secure, you're fine.

Yeah, it doesn’t matter. Just ensure both sides click in and everything is off while doing it.

Cool, thanks! I definitely had it unplugged, but can't recall if I turned off the PSU switch.

It’s probably better to press towards the center, but even if you do one side at a time, it should be alright as long as you hear the clicks from both. The important part is that it’s secure in the slot.

That makes sense! Works fine for me either way as long as everything's clicking.

Adding that to my checklist, haha. But really, just get out and enjoy the outdoors too!

You might be right; tennis sounds better than stressing over RAM!
